In 2015, the Faculty of Informatics of the Poznan University of Technology, in cooperation with European Center for Bioinformatics and Genomics, which was created under the project of the same name (ECBiG), was listed on the prestigious Polish Roadmap for Research Infrastructure (PMDIB). This status has been achieved through long & fruitful team-work with the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS). The principle idea that led the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and its co-researchers to these actions was the establishment or specialization of scientific structures of exceptional importance for the development of research across the country. Ultimately, only 53 key points for the growth of Polish science and economy, including the European Center for Bioinformatics and Genomics, are placed on this Roadmap.
