As a part of the preparation for the next European research and innovation program – Horizon Europe, one of its key elements is currently being put together – European Partnerships. There are 49 of them in total, first partnerships are planned to be launched in the following year. It’s crucial to take advantage of this project in order to increase Polish contribution.
One of the employees at Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications (and also Coordinator for Development and Industrial Cooperation at the faculty) has been invited by Department of Innovation and Development of Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) to become a member of the group of experts supporting the participation of Poland in the new European Partnership. This is a part of Horizon Europe (2021-2027) program – “European Open Science Cloud”. The aforementioned group has 5 members, among whom, dr. Jedrzej Musial is the only scientist still actively working at a university, having purely scientific experience, as well as experience in realization, rating and evaluation of R&D projects (because of the numerous project he has finished, both Polish and international, and his immense knowledge of expert work for The National Centre of Research and Development (NCBR) ).
As a member of the expert group, Jedrzej Musial will be working on the documentation (not only rating, but also giving remarks and suggestions) and will take part in partnership deliberations for European Commission. He will be a support for MNiSW and various agencies funding scientific research, which represent Poland at the European forum. Therefore, he will receive the full support of MNiSW, NCBR office in Brussels (Business Science Poland) and National Contact Point for Research Programmes of the European Union.
