Agnieszka Rybarczyk, Ph. D. received the award for the best doctoral dissertation titled Algorithmic aspects of RNA degradation process awarded by the Polish Bioinformatics Society. The dissertation was supervised by professors Jacek Błażewicz and Marek Figlerowicz.
Wojciech Frohmberg and Michal Kierzynka received the award for the best master thesis titled Development of sequence alignment methods on Graphics Processing Unit awarded by the Polish Bioinformatics Society. The thesis was supervised by professor Jacek Blazewicz.
During the conference Informatik Colloquium Lessach (ICOLE 2011), Lessach, Austria, 19-23 September 2011 the team consistion of Mateusz Cicheński and Jarosław Szymczak received an award for the best presentation “Order Completion and Delivery Problem”.
