The award was presented to the researcher of the Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications during the Intelligent Development Forum, which took place in Uniejów.

Prof. Agnieszka Ławrynowicz conducts research related to artificial intelligence. The project realized with the support of the Norwegian Funds and the National Center for Research and Development “TAISTI – artificial intelligence technologies for recommending substitutes for ingredients in cooking recipes” brought her recognition.

The goals of the project are the following:

• integrating knowledge and data resources on recipes and their ingredients in order to use artificial intelligence algorithms,
• developing machine learning-based methods to recommend potential substitutes for ingredients and predict their properties,
• developing knowledge-based (logical inference) methods for selecting and explaining target ingredients and their adequate substitutes,
• a proof-of-concept system for recommending component substitutes in order to integrate and demonstrate the developed technologies.
