Professor Jan Węglarz became doctor honoris causa of Silesian University of Technology

It is our great pleasure to inform that professor Jan Węglarz became doctor honoris causa of Silesian University of Technology.

Professor Węglarz is well known specialist in the field of computer science and operational research. He created the fundamental theory of task scheduling and resource allocation problems. Professor is an author and coauthor of 17 monographs and almost 300 scientific papers in the most published worldwide journals.

Professor Jan Węglarz is director of Institute of Computing of Poznan University of Technology and plenipotentiary director of Intitute of Bioorganic Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences for Polish Supercomputing and Networking Center. He is also Polish representant in prestigous international computer science communities: EURO, IFORS and TERENA.

This is the eight doctor honoris causa title awarded to professor Węglarz, congratulations!
